Helicopter Flight Experiences

All of our gift vouchers are valid for 9 months. They are not assigned to a named person and are transferable so you are free to purchase on behalf of someone else, we will just need your booking reference number at the time of booking

Unfortunately, all of our flights are weather dependent. Our pilots will keep an eye on the forecast in the days leading up to your flight and advise you as soon as possible if it's looking questionable, but as you can imagine, due to the unreliable nature of weather forecasts, there's often times when it's not clear whether a flight will be able to go ahead or not.

Generally, the best forecast we get comes out around 6pm on the night before. At this point we will have a fairly good idea of what the chances are of the flight going ahead, but we obviously understand that this isn't enough notice for everyone, and some people might not want to travel to the airfield if there's a chance their flight might not go ahead.

If we have to cancel your flight for weather, or any other reasons outside of our control, you will of course be able to re-schedule for the next time that suits you.

There are three passenger seats in our aircraft. All prices shown are for the trip, meaning you can divide the amount you pay between up to three people.

All of our flights start from, and end at, our base at Leeds East Airport, in Church Fenton, just south of Tadcaster.

At the gate, you'll need go to the window (or buzz for security if there is nobody there) and let them know you are here for Yorkshire Helicopters. Make your way all the way to the end of the road, to the car park on the left, just after the cafe.

We'll text you a couple of hours before your flight with the directions; simply reply to the message to let us know you have arrived and we will come and find you as soon as possible, but please bear in mind we may still be in the air and unable to respond immediately.

If you are early, feel free to take a seat in the cafe and enjoy a drink before your flight. There are also bathrooms in the cafe if you need the facilities.

There is no specific age restriction, but we do suggest that children be at least two years of age, and anyone under 16 will need to be accommpanied by an adult who is able to take responsibility for them in the aircraft.

The maximum weight we allow for any individual person is 18 stone (115kg)

The maximum combined passenger weight is 37 stone (235kg)

If your combined weight is above 30 stone (190kg) then we may ask all passengers to weigh themselves, with clothes on, and provide accurate measurements before the flights.

Decisions on whether to proceed with the flight for any passengers is always at the pilot's discretion. Please understand this is for your safety and ours.
